DC blasts Jones in Instagram post: 'You're a cheater and a snitch!'
There's apparently still no love between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones.
In response to an attack on Instagram from Jones on Thursday night, Cormier called his longtime rival "a cheater and a snitch" in his own post on Friday.
Jones accused Cormier of avoiding calls from the United States Doping Agency "because the second you hear them say I'm innocent is the instant the illusion you've created shatters."
The former light heavyweight champion added that his longtime rival is haunted by the fact that Jones had won both of their previous encounters - though the second win was ruled a no contest when Jones tested positive for a banned substance.
The UFC is apparently working on a fight between Jones and Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232 on Dec. 29 for the former's return to the Octagon. He is eligible to compete again on Oct. 28 following a 15-month ban for a failed drug test.
Prior to targeting a rematch between Jones and Gustafsson, the UFC reportedly pursued a trilogy bout between Jones and Cormier at heavyweight, but both fighters wanted a third fight at light heavyweight.
