Khabib's fight plan for Conor: 'Make him tired and make him tap'
Five days from the biggest fight of his career, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is happy to discuss his plans for Saturday's UFC 229 main event against Conor McGregor.
Nurmagomedov was a guest on "Ariel Helwani's MMA Show" on Monday and provided his course of attack.
"Make this guy tap. Make him tired and make him tap. This is my plan," Nurmagomedov said.
Nurmagomedov has compiled a perfect professional MMA record of 26-0, using his wrestling prowess to his advantage.
McGregor, the former lightweight champion, hasn't fought in the UFC since November 2016. Nurmagomedov plans to use the allotted 25 minutes to his advantage.
"I want to make this guy pay. He's going to pay about everything - what he say, what he did," he said, referring to the infamous incident at the Barclays Center in April when McGregor threw a dolly through a bus window in an attempt to get at Nurmagomedov.
Khabib isn't looking to simply win the fight this weekend.
"Not just win. Smash," he said.
