Nate Diaz won't receive a replacement opponent for UFC 230 after Dustin Poirier was forced to withdraw with an injury, president Dana White told Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times.

Diaz was expected to make his highly anticipated return to the Octagon at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Nov. 3 after going more than two years without a fight.

The lightweight went 1-1 in his last two matches - both against Conor McGregor.

Diaz and Poirier were slated for a co-main event spot at UFC 230. The promotion announced earlier Tuesday that Daniel Cormier will defend his heavyweight championship against Derrick Lewis in the headliner.
