The Rizin Fight Federation announced Sunday that champion boxer Floyd Mayweather will fight undefeated kickboxing sensation Tenshin Nasukawa at an event on Dec. 31 in Japan.
Rizin chairman Nobuyuki Sakakibara said the rules and stipulations have not yet been determined, according to ESPN's Ariel Helwani.
Mayweather, who has teased both retirement and a foray into mixed martial arts, has a career 50-0 record. His last bout was a victory over UFC star Conor McGregor on Aug. 26, 2017.
Nasukawa defeated former UFC flyweight contender Kyoji Horiguchi at Rizin 13 on Sept. 30, where he showcased his kickboxing chops.
