Silva injures leg, Cannonier wins by TKO in Round 1 at UFC 237
Anderson Silva went down with a leg injury late in the first round at UFC 237 on Saturday, giving Jared Cannonier a win via TKO in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
"The Spider" absorbed a kick to the knee area, and Herb Dean ultimately called a stop to the match after he was unable to get back up.

The outcome marked a disappointing return to his home country for Silva, who campaigned for a spot on the Brazil card despite fighting three months ago.
Silva, 44, has now lost six of his last eight fights dating back to UFC 162 when Chris Weidman stunningly knocked him out for the middleweight crown.
Cannonier, meanwhile, picked up his second consecutive victory and is now 12-4 as a professional.
