Sage Northcutt's first fight in ONE Championship didn't go as planned.
The 23-year-old, who chose to sign with the promotion over the UFC when his contract expired last year, lasted just 29 seconds in his debut. Northcutt (11-3) was knocked out by Cosmo Alexandre (8-1) on Friday at ONE Championship: Enter The Dragon in Singapore.
It's the first time Northcutt has been knocked out in his 13-fight career and it snapped his three-fight winning streak. Meanwhile, Alexandre has been victorious in eight straight bouts.
Former UFC champion Eddie Alvarez also had a disappointing ONE Championship debut. "The Underground King" was finished in the first round by Timofey Nastyukhin in March.
