Colombian flyweight Alejandra Lara used Friday's Bellator 225 weigh-ins to draw attention to the Amazon rainforest wildfires.
Lara covered her body with several messages, including "Stop deforestation," "#SOSAmazonia," and "Our lungs are on fire!"
Brazil's space research center INPE has detected nearly 73,000 wildfires in the Amazon this year, some of which have been set illegally by farmers clearing areas for cattle ranching, according to Reuters.
Lara will face Taylor Turner on the Bellator 225 main card at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Conn., on Saturday night.
