Gaethje-Cowboy official for UFC Vancouver, Pereira misses weight
The main event for Saturday's UFC card in Vancouver, British Columbia is official.
Both Justin Gaethje and Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone made weight for a lightweight bout that figures to include plenty of fireworks.
Gaethje (20-2) enters the fight a winner of his last two bouts via first-round knockout. He topped James Vick last August then took out Edson Barboza in March.
Cerrone (36-12) lost via TKO in June due to doctor's stoppage against Tony Ferguson when his right eye was swollen shut by the second round. He had won his previous three fights against stiff opponents Mike Perry, Alexander Hernandez, and Al Iaquinta.
The only fighter to miss weight Friday was welterweight Michel Pereira. He weighed in at 172 pounds and will surrender 20% of his purse to opponent Tristan Connelly, according to MMA Junkie.
