Report: VanZant to face Ribas in last fight of UFC contract

Paige VanZant's final UFC fight before she tests the open market has been set.

The UFC strawweight has agreed to face Amanda Ribas on March 14 in Brasilia, Brazil, sources told Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.

VanZant (8-4) is nearing the end of her current contract with the UFC and has been vocal about her intentions to explore all avenues regarding her future in MMA.

The 25-year-old most recently defeated Rachael Ostovick via an armbar submission in January, snapping a two-fight losing streak.

But VanZant - who's become a mainstream name thanks to her 2.3 million Instagram followers and an appearance on "Dancing With the Stars" - has been sidelined since that bout after undergoing two surgeries to repair a fractured arm.

Ribas (8-1), meanwhile, gave Mackenzie Dern the first loss of her career with a unanimous decision victory in October.
