Masvidal favored to be McGregor's next opponent
The odds have been released for who Conor McGregor will fight next, and Jorge Masvidal is at the top of the list.
"Gamebred" opened as a -200 favorite to serve as McGregor's next opponent following the Irishman's win over Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
McGregor and Masvidal have recently expressed interest in squaring off with each other.
For a potential bout, Masvidal opened as a -165 favorite over McGregor, who's listed at +145.
UFC president Dana White said after UFC 246 that he wants to book McGregor in a rematch against lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who's scheduled to face Tony Ferguson in April.
Nurmagomedov has the second-highest odds at +300 to be McGregor's next opponent.
"The Eagle" defended his 155-pound belt for the first time against McGregor in October 2018, submitting him in the fourth round.
McGregor made it clear in the lead-up to the Cerrone bout that he wants another shot at the Russian champ, but he said it's not his sole focus. McGregor has also talked about possibly fighting UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
Other potential opponents for McGregor include Justin Gaethje (+600), Usman (+900), Nate Diaz (+1000), Floyd Mayweather (+1200), and Ferguson (+1400).
