Nunes to defend featherweight title vs. Spencer at UFC 250
Amanda Nunes will defend the UFC women's featherweight title against Felicia Spencer at UFC 250 on May 9 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, UFC president Dana White told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
Nunes captured the 145-pound belt in 2018 with a first-round knockout of Cris Cyborg, but she has yet to defend it. The Brazilian is also the women's bantamweight titleholder and has competed in that division in her past two bouts.
"The Lioness" is coming off a unanimous-decision win over Germaine de Randamie at UFC 245 last December.
Spencer defeated Zarah Fairn via first-round TKO at UFC Norfolk in February. Prior to that, the Canadian lost to Cyborg by unanimous decision. She is 2-1 in the Octagon.
A bantamweight title fight between champion Henry Cejudo and Jose Aldo will headline UFC 250.
