Watch: Perry shares old video of him KOing man outside club
UFC welterweight Mike Perry took to social media Thursday to share an old video of a highlight - but it wasn't from the Octagon.
The clip captured an altercation between Perry and another man, which appeared to take place outside a club that "Platinum" says was in Orlando. It shows Perry knocking the man out cold with a left hook.
Perry wrote in the caption that the man, whom Perry believed to be intoxicated, was harassing him and had "punched me in the mouth" just before the video began.
"He wouldn’t stop so I ended it," Perry wrote. "I could’ve continued to ground-and-pound him to death but walked away and spoke to the police."
In an interview with TMZ Sports in December 2017, Perry described an altercation that lines up with the video. The 28-year-old said the incident occurred on New Year's Eve, but he did not say which year.
Perry is coming off a first-round TKO loss to Geoff Neal at UFC 245 last December. He is 6-6 in the promotion and boasts wins over Paul Felder, Alex Oliveira, and Jake Ellenberger.
