White: UFC 249 card without Khabib will be unveiled Monday
Dana White will announce Monday the full UFC 249 card, which won't include lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, he said in a tweet.
Nurmagomedov was supposed to defend his title against Tony Ferguson in the main event but has been stranded in Russia due to travel restrictions related to the coronavirus.
A location for UFC 249, which is scheduled for April 18, still hasn't been announced. Logistical issues stemming from the COVID-19 crisis forced it out of Brooklyn, then away from Las Vegas.
There have been endless rumors about a potential replacement headliner, including a hypothetical bout between Ferguson and Justin Gaethje.
White has been determined to host UFC 249 despite every other major North American sports league being shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic.
