Jones responds to Ngannou: 'I'll expose you'
Jon Jones wants it to be known that he's not afraid of Francis Ngannou.
The UFC light heavyweight champion, who said last week that he was interested in fighting Ngannou, continued to trade barbs with the heavyweight contender on social media early Wednesday morning.
Jones called Ngannou, one of the hardest hitters in the UFC, a "mouse" and vowed to expose him if they ever faced off in the Octagon. The 32-year-old also referenced Ngannou's fight with Derrick Lewis in 2018, which Lewis won by unanimous decision in a lackluster affair.
Jones, the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC, has long considered moving up to the heavyweight division. Late last year, the Jackson-Wink MMA product said there was a "very strong possibility" that he would finally make the jump in 2020.
Last week, "Bones" said he would love to take a "big-money fight" against Ngannou and asked the UFC to "send the deal."
Jones is coming off a narrow win in a 205-pound title defense against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 in February.
Ngannou, meanwhile, is coming off a 20-second knockout of Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 249 earlier in May. "The Predator" has won four in a row.
