Miocic-Cormier 3 to be held at UFC Apex in Las Vegas
The trilogy fight between heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic and ex-champ Daniel Cormier will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Dana White confirmed Saturday, according to MMA Fighting.
The bout was previously announced as the UFC 252 main event on Aug. 15, but a location had not been finalized.
The promotion has hosted four events at the UFC Apex in the past month, and one more is scheduled for June 27. In July, the UFC will hold four shows on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
Multiple additional cards are being planned for August, but locations have not yet been determined.
Most recently, Miocic and Cormier fought each other at UFC 241 last August, with the former recapturing the heavyweight belt via fourth-round TKO. Neither man has stepped into the Octagon since. "DC" knocked out Miocic in the opening round of their first meeting at UFC 226 in July 2018.
