UFC double champ Amanda Nunes will return to the Octagon at UFC 256 in December to face Megan Anderson, ESPN's Brett Okamoto reports, citing sources.

It will be Nunes' first contest since defending the featherweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Felicia Spencer at UFC 250 in June.

"The Lioness" is on an 11-fight win streak and has not lost since 2014.

Anderson has been building towards a title fight since joining the UFC in 2018. She lost her first bout to Holly Holm and was submitted by Spencer in 2019, but has won her last two fights against Zarah Fairn and Norma Dumont in decisive fashion.

The six-foot Australian will have a rare four-inch height advantage and a reach advantage against the women's champion.
