The Michelle Waterson-Angela Hill bout will headline UFC Fight Night on Sept. 12 in light of the positive COVID-19 test from Glover Teixeira that forced him off the card, the promotion announced Friday.
Teixeira had been scheduled to take on Thiago Santos in a light heavyweight main event. That fight is likely to be rescheduled for Oct. 3 on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.
Waterson and Hill will square off in a five-round strawweight contest despite the relative short notice that their fight will close the show in Las Vegas. They were previously scheduled to meet in the event's co-headliner.
Waterson and Hill are both coming off losses, with the former riding a two-fight skid.
