Report: Condit-Brown on tap for UFC's Jan. 30 event
A long-awaited welterweight bout will finally go down in early 2021.
Carlos Condit is set to meet Matt Brown at UFC Fight Night on Jan. 30, a source told MMA Junkie.
Known for their scrappy styles and violent finishing abilities, Condit and Brown were scheduled to face off in December 2013 and April 2018. The latter withdrew due to injuries on both occasions.
Condit, a former interim champion, ended a five-fight skid with a unanimous decision win over Court McGee in October. "The Natural Born Killer" hit a slump after suffering a razor-thin loss to then-champion Robbie Lawler in 2016.
Brown is coming off a knockout loss to prospect Miguel Baeza in May. The 39-year-old was riding a two-fight winning streak before that, with stoppage victories over Ben Saunders and Diego Sanchez.
A main event for UFC Fight Night hasn't been announced.
