Goldy-Penne off UFC 260 card, Knight scratched due to COVID-19 protocols
The UFC has altered Saturday's UFC 260 lineup due to COVID-19 protocols, the promotion announced Wednesday.
The strawweight bout between Hannah Goldy and Jessica Penne has been postponed to the UFC Fight Night card on April 17. Goldy announced in an Instagram post she tested positive for COVID-19.
Additionally, William Knight has been pulled from his light heavyweight bout against Alonzo Menifield. UFC newcomer Fabio Cherant is stepping up on short notice to face Menifield, while Knight is now set to face Da-un Jung on April 10.
The updates come days after the UFC removed the co-main event between featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega from the card due to Volkanovski testing positive for COVID-19.
UFC 260, headlined by a heavyweight title fight between champ Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou, will proceed with 10 bouts at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
