MMA fighter Khetag Pliev had his finger reattached in emergency surgery after nearly losing it during a bout Thursday night.
The fight, which served as the co-main event of Cage Fury Fighting Championships 94 in Philadelphia, was called off when the referee noticed Pliev appeared to be missing his left ring finger, according to ESPN's Marc Raimondi.
After officials searched the cage and asked people over the PA system to look around the venue, the severed finger was found inside Pliev's glove.
"I want to let you know that I am OK," Pliev wrote Friday morning in an Instagram post. "Finger is back in place."
Pliev and coach Joey Patterson told MMA Fighting's Mike Heck that his finger didn't completely detach from his hand. It was "hanging on by a thread" when it was found lodged inside his glove, Pliev said.

Event promoter Rob Haydak told Raimondi that Pliev said his finger was dislocated in the first round and severed in the second. Pliev told Raimondi he believes his opponent, Devin Goodale, holding his glove may have caused the finger to almost detach.
Pliev said the doctor at the hospital told him he tore 50% of the tendon in his finger and may need to undergo another procedure.
Goodale officially won the fight by TKO at the end of the second round.
