Report: Aldo vs. Munhoz added to UFC 265 lineup

A bantamweight bout between Jose Aldo and Pedro Munhoz is set for UFC 265 on Aug. 7, sources told MMA Fighting's Damon Martin and Guilherme Cruz.

Aldo, a former featherweight champion, is 1-2 since dropping down to the 135-pound division. He's coming off a unanimous-decision win over Marlon Vera in December. Aldo is ranked No. 5 in the weight class.

Munhoz beat Jimmie Rivera in his last bout in February, snapping a two-fight skid that consisted of losses to Frankie Edgar and current champion Aljamain Sterling. The No. 8-ranked bantamweight holds a 2019 knockout win over former champ Cody Garbrandt.

UFC 265 will feature a women's bantamweight title fight between champion Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena. It's unclear if that will serve as the main event. The promotion hasn't yet announced a location for the pay-per-view show.
