Wiz Khalifa 'definitely' interested in doing MMA fight
Wiz Khalifa might be the newest celebrity to cross over to combat sports.
The rapper said he would like to compete in a mixed martial arts bout in the future, although nothing is in the works.
"I definitely have interest in doing it myself," Khalifa told Rolling Stone's Mike Bohn.
Khalifa, one of the world's top recording artists, joined the PFL as an investor and adviser in April. The 33-year-old has trained in boxing and jiu-jitsu for roughly five years and works out five days a week at Unbreakable Performance Center in Los Angeles.
"I'm going to keep it clean as one of the owners now, and I'm just going to take the steps, but I'm always training, and if the opportunity presents itself and it's something fun ... and it can be good for everybody, I don't see why not," Khalifa said.
Khalifa said he considers himself a big MMA fan.
"I look at (the fighters), and I think it's really entertaining and fun, and I think they've got a lot of balls for doing it," Khalifa said. "I respect it, and I love it."
Khalifa began his successful music career in 2005 and has been nominated for 10 Grammy awards.
