The Greg Hardy experiment took a turn for the worse at UFC 264.
Tai Tuivasa knocked out Hardy at 1:07 of the first round of their heavyweight bout Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Hardy stunned Tuivasa and began walking forward, but the latter turned the tables and dropped his opponent with a devastating left hand.
The former NFL player is riding a two-fight skid after suffering his first stoppage loss against Marcin Tybura in December. The 32-year-old is 4-4 (1 no-contest) in the UFC after debuting in the promotion in 2019.
Tuivasa has won three in a row and holds a 6-3 record in the Octagon.
