It's possible Greg Hardy's UFC career has run its course.
Serghei Spivac defeated Hardy, who was on the final bout of his contract, via TKO at the 2:16 mark of the first round in the heavyweight fight at UFC 272 on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
Spivac took Hardy down 50 seconds into the fight and again later in the round before advancing to full mount. The Moldovan fighter unloaded with ground-and-pound until the referee stepped in.
Spivac returned to the win column after losing to Tom Aspinall last September. He's 4-1 over his past five contests.
Hardy, a former NFL player who debuted in the UFC in 2019, is now riding a three-fight losing streak.
