Jorge Masvidal said Saturday's UFC 287 matchup against Gilbert Burns could be his final match inside the Octagon.

"If I lose, I'm pretty much calling it quits," Masvidal said. "But a win against Gilbert means that things are headed in the right direction. So if I roll the dice, and I do everything right, I'm going for it all."

Masvidal (35-16) will square off against Burns in the co-main event. "Gamebred" dropped his past three fights, including a pair of bouts against former champion Kamaru Usman. He also lost by unanimous decision to rival Colby Covington at UFC 272 in March 2022.

Prior to his current losing streak, the 38-year-old Masvidal captivated fans with highlight-reel finishes, including victories over Ben Askren, Nate Diaz, Donald Cerrone, and Darren Till.

Despite his current rut, the Miami native is confident he's still at his peak form.

"I think I'm at my best right now," Masvidal said. "My mental, my physical - now I've got to go out there and prove it. I've got my back up against the wall, but I get to start my resurrection here in Miami-Dade County - the city that birthed me, that made me, that molded me - so I'm more than excited."

Masvidal will have a tough test considering his opposition. Burns is coming off a win over Neil Magny at UFC 283. Burns and Masvidal enter this weekend's bout as the fifth- and 11th-ranked welterweights, respectively.
