UFC 290 weigh-in results: Volkanovski, Rodriguez cleared for title fight
Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez made weight Friday ahead of their featherweight title unification bout scheduled for the UFC 290 main event Saturday in Las Vegas.
Volkanovski, the reigning champion, weighed in at 144.5 pounds, and Rodriguez, the interim champ, came in at 145 pounds.
Flyweight champion Brandon Moreno and Alexandre Pantoja were also on the mark ahead of their title bout in the co-main event. Both tipped the scale at 125 pounds.
Brandon Royval weighed in as the backup fighter for the flyweight title bout, hitting 125 pounds.
One fighter missed weight for UFC 290. Lightweight Jalin Turner, who's scheduled to face Dan Hooker on the main card, came in two pounds over the divisional limit at 158 pounds.
