Bueno Silva submits Holm, Della Maddalena survives debutant at UFC Fight Night
Mayra Bueno Silva submitted former bantamweight champion Holly Holm with a standing guillotine early in the second round of the UFC Fight Night main event Saturday in Las Vegas.
The choke extended Bueno Silva's winning streak to four, with the last three victories coming via submission. The Brazilian used an armbar to get by Stephanie Egger in August 2022 and a kneebar to put away Lina Lansberg in February before resorting to the guillotine versus Holm.

Bueno Silva entered the bout ranked 10th in the bantamweight division, which has no champion following Amanda Nunes' retirement. Holm, who was ranked third, was in line for a potential title opportunity if she prevailed.
"I do what I say," Bueno Silva said in her post-fight interview. "I want that belt because I deserve - nobody finishes like me. I deserve belt, I deserve. Hey, Julianna Pena, let's go. I deserve this, you deserve this, the people deserve this ... I finish my fights, I give a show for everybody. This belt is my belt."
All three judges awarded the first round to Holm, who used a combination of striking and grappling to keep Bueno Silva guessing throughout the first five minutes. But Bueno Silva landed a major shot from the feet to begin the second stanza before locking in the guillotine.
In the co-main event, rising welterweight contender Jack Della Maddalena survived a split decision versus UFC newcomer Bassil Hafez. The Australian thumper went the distance inside the Octagon for the first time after finishing his first four foes within one round. Della Maddalena, ranked 14th at 170 pounds, took the fight on short notice after two opponents dropped out of his scheduled bout for UFC 290.
