Musk says Zuckerberg cage match is set for 'epic location' in Rome
The anticipated cage match between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg appears to be a go.
Musk announced Friday morning on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he'll be squaring off against the Meta co-founder at an "epic location" in Rome. UFC won't be managing the fight, which Musk said will be livestreamed on his and Zuckerberg's respective social media platforms.
The fight will be managed by my and Zuck’s foundations (not UFC).

Livestream will be on this platform and Meta. Everything in camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all.
I spoke to the PM of Italy and Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location.
Musk added that "everything done will pay respect to the past and present of Italy" and said all proceeds from the bout will go to veterans.
Musk first challenged Zuckerberg to a cage match in June. At the time, UFC president Dana White said the tech billionaires were "absolutely dead serious" about the fight and that he'd be interested in helping to organize it.
A date for the match has yet to be confirmed, though Zuckerberg has suggested Aug. 26.
