Saturday's UFC Fight Night main event in Las Vegas ended in anticlimactic fashion.

Mateusz Gamrot defeated Rafael Fiziev via TKO after Fiziev suffered a leg injury while throwing a kick. The stoppage came at the 2:03 mark of the second round.

Fiziev was transported to a local hospital after the fight, according to MMA Fighting's Damon Martin.

"Of course, this was not the finish ... I would like," Gamrot said in his postfight interview. "Bad situation, bad accident. I wish a quick recovery to Rafa, because I like this guy."

All three judges scored the first round 10-9 for Fiziev. The Kazakhstan native landed the harder shots in what was a back-and-forth, calculated opening frame between the Nos. 6- and 7-ranked lightweights.

Midway through the second round, Fiziev landed a right leg kick - with his foot hitting Gamrot's elbow - and appeared to hurt his left knee.

"A win is a win," Gamrot said. "I'm looking forward to the next one."

"Gamer" has now won two in a row and is 6-1 in his last seven Octagon appearances. The Polish fighter entered the fight - his second UFC main event - coming off a split-decision win over Jalin Turner in March.

Fiziev was attempting to get back on track - and back into the title conversation - after suffering a majority decision loss to Justin Gaethje in a Fight of the Year candidate in March. Fiziev has now lost two straight for the first time in his career. He had won six consecutive bouts before the slump, which included a knockout victory over former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.
