UFC 296 weigh-in results: Edwards, Covington cleared for title fight
UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards and challenger Colby Covington made weight Friday before they meet in the UFC 296 main event Saturday in Las Vegas.
Edwards, set to defend his title for the second time, weighed in at 170 pounds. Covington, a former interim champ, came in at 169.5 pounds.

Flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja and his opponent, Brandon Royval, were also on the mark for the co-main event. Pantoja tipped the scale at 125 pounds, and Royval hit 124.5 pounds.
Belal Muhammad, the backup fighter for Edwards-Covington, made weight at 169.5 pounds. Also, former flyweight champion Brandon Moreno weighed in at 125 pounds as the backup for Pantoja-Royval.
