Covington calls out Garry: 'You wanted my attention, now you got it'
Former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington appears willing to fight Ian Machado Garry.
Covington posted a video on X on Wednesday in which he tried to set up the matchup and took shots at Garry's personal life.
"Ian Garry, you translucent cuck, you wanted my attention, now you got it," Covington said.
"Everybody knows why you want to fight me, Ian. I'm the biggest star in the division. It's big city, bright lights, and the most attention and eyes you're ever gonna have on you when I fight."
Garry, the No. 7-ranked welterweight and one of the rising stars in the weight class, called out Covington after a win over Geoff Neal at UFC 298 in February.
"I want to retire you from the UFC, Colby," Garry said in Anaheim.
Covington is coming off an unsuccessful bid for the welterweight title versus Leon Edwards at UFC 296 last December. Edwards beat Covington by unanimous decision.
