Yan to undergo surgery on torn ACL, meniscus
Former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan said Monday an MRI revealed he suffered a fully torn ACL, torn meniscus, and groin injury in his win at UFC 299.
Yan, who beat Song Yadong by unanimous decision on March 9 in Miami, is scheduled to undergo surgery Tuesday. He did not disclose a timetable for his return.
So MRI confirmed acl rupture, meniscus tear and groin injury. Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. Nothing will break me, I’m determined to come back stronger than ever in no time 👊🏼

Last week, Yan implied that he suffered the injuries in the first round of the fight. "No Mercy" outlasted Song in the second and third rounds to secure the victory.

Yan snapped a three-fight losing streak against Song. The 31-year-old hadn't been victorious since an interim title bout versus Cory Sandhagen in October 2021.
