Ian Machado Garry, Michael Page to fight at UFC 303
A blockbuster welterweight matchup between Ian Machado Garry and Michael "Venom" Page has been added to UFC 303 on June 29 in Las Vegas, UFC CEO Dana White announced Friday.
Garry is coming off a split-decision win over Geoff Neal at UFC 298 in February, which lifted his Octagon record to 7-0 and pro record to 14-0. The 26-year-old Irishman is widely considered his home country's best hope for a UFC champion since Conor McGregor and is one of the hottest names in the 170-pound division.
Page made his promotional debut at UFC 299 in March following a nine-year stint under the Bellator banner, defeating Kevin Holland via unanimous decision. The 37-year-old Englishman is riding a two-fight winning streak and has lost just once since 2019.
A long-awaited welterweight bout between McGregor and Michael Chandler is scheduled to headline UFC 303 at T-Mobile Arena. McGregor will step into the cage for the first time since July 2021.
