Arlovski parts ways with UFC after 4th straight loss

Andrei Arlovski's tenure with the UFC has come to an end.

Following the former heavyweight champion's split-decision loss to Martin Buday at UFC 303 on Saturday, UFC CEO Dana White confirmed it was his "last fight."

It was the final bout on Arlovski's contract, and he won't be re-signing with the promotion, according to MMA reporter Ariel Helwani. However, Arlovski plans to continue his career elsewhere.

Arlovski, 45, suffered his fourth straight defeat, and his second of the year, on the UFC 303 preliminary card at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Buday outstruck him 165-98 in the lackluster affair, though Arlovski had a 74-54 edge in significant strikes.

Arlovski was competing in his 42nd UFC bout, the second most in company history. Arlovski is tied with Donald Cerrone for the second-most UFC wins (23) and tied with Jeremy Stephens and Clay Guida for the most losses (18).

The American Top Team product, who was born in Belarus but lives in Florida, hasn't won a fight since April 2022.

Arlovski signed with the UFC in 2000 after making his MMA debut one year earlier. He held the UFC heavyweight title from 2005-06 and successfully defended it once. Arlovski parted ways with the promotion in 2008 but returned for a second stint in 2014, during which he beat the likes of Travis Browne, Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva, and Frank Mir.
