Eblen-Edwards 2 postponed; Bellator London gets new main event
The rematch between Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards - scheduled to headline Bellator Champions Series London on Sept. 14 - has been postponed, the promotion announced Tuesday.
A new date for Eblen-Edwards 2 will be announced in the coming days.
As a result of the postponement, a women's featherweight bout between Leah McCourt and Sara Collins has been elevated to headliner at OVO Arena.
Eblen was seeking his third defense of the Bellator middleweight belt, which the American Top Team product captured in June 2022. Eblen, undefeated as a pro at 15-0, is coming off a split-decision win over Impa Kasanganay in a February nontitle bout.
Eblen knocked out Edwards in the third round of the Bellator 299 main event in September 2023.
Edwards earned another title shot by defeating Aaron Jeffery at Bellator Champions Series Belfast in March. Edwards, the brother of former UFC welterweight champion Leon, is 4-1 in his last five appearances.
