Former Bellator welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov announced Friday he's parted ways with the promotion following the expiration of his contract.

Amosov competed under the Bellator banner nine times after making his debut in July 2018.
The 31-year-old Ukrainian put together an 8-1 record during his tenure. He captured the 170-pound title with a dominant win over Douglas Lima in June 2021 and then defended it once against Logan Storley in February 2023. In between those fights, Amosov was out of action for nearly two years because he stayed in his home country to defend it from Russian invasion.
Amosov suffered the first loss of his pro career last November against Jason Jackson, forfeiting the belt via a shocking third-round knockout. Jackson's upset win over Amosov headlined Bellator 301, the final event before the PFL's acquisition of Bellator.
Amosov currently sits at an impressive 27-1 with 19 finishes. He's considered a top-15 welterweight in the sport and stands to be a contender in any promotion.
