Eblen to defend Bellator title vs. Edwards at Oct. 19 PFL PPV
The rematch between Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards has been rescheduled for the PFL's pay-per-view card Oct. 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the promotion announced Tuesday.
Eblen and Edwards were slated to headline Bellator Champions Series London on Sept. 14, but the fight was postponed earlier this month for an undisclosed reason.
Eblen-Edwards 2 is the fourth main-card bout set for the PFL's upcoming PPV Super Fight event, headlined by former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou's highly anticipated promotional debut against Renan Ferreira.
Eblen is seeking the third defense of his Bellator 185-pound title. The undefeated American Top Team product is coming off a split-decision win over Impa Kasanganay in a February non-title bout.
Edwards, the brother of former UFC welterweight champ Leon, defeated Aaron Jeffery by decision at Bellator Champions Series Belfast in March to set up the rematch.
Eblen knocked out Edwards in his second title defense in September 2023, scoring a third-round finish at Bellator 299 in Dublin.
The Oct. 19 card will also feature a fight between Bellator women's featherweight champion Cris Cyborg and PFL titleholder Larissa Pacheco and a lightweight bout between AJ McKee and Paul Hughes.
