BKFC star, ex-UFC fighter Mike Perry arrested for DUI in Florida
BKFC star and UFC veteran Mike Perry was arrested over the weekend for driving under the influence.
The Clermont Police Department arrested Perry on Oct. 12 at 1:04 a.m. in Clermont, Florida, online records for the Lake County Sheriff's Office state, according to MMA Junkie. Perry is also facing a charge of refusing to sign a citation requiring a court appearance.
The 33-year-old was released from jail on a $1,500 bond five hours after being booked.
Perry is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 30.
Perry is coming off a sixth-round TKO loss to YouTube star turned prizefighter Jake Paul in the first marquee boxing match of his career in July. Perry stepped in on short notice after Mike Tyson fell off the card due to a medical issue.
Perry parted ways with the UFC in 2021 and transitioned to bare knuckle fighting in 2022. He has won five straight under the BKFC banner and become the face of the promotion. Perry finished former UFC champions Eddie Alvarez and Luke Rockhold in 2023, and he scored a 60-second TKO of Thiago Alves in April.
