Fiorot puts Shevchenko on blast, vows to send UFC champ into retirement
Manon Fiorot appears to be getting impatient with UFC women's flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko.
Fiorot sent a message to Shevchenko on X on Friday, telling "Bullet" to get into the Octagon with her "soon" so she can send her into retirement and "move on."
Fiorot, the division's No. 2-ranked contender, is widely expected to be the next challenger for the 125-pound title. The Frenchwoman is a perfect 7-0 since joining the UFC roster, most recently beating Erin Blanchfield in March's UFC Atlantic City main event in what many viewed as a No. 1 contender bout.
Shevchenko last fought two months ago at UFC 306, the highly anticipated event at Sphere in Las Vegas. She reclaimed the belt with a one-sided victory in a trilogy bout against Alexa Grasso, evening their head-to-head series at 1-1-1.
Shevchenko responded to Fiorot later Friday:
