Report: Evloev injured, out of UFC Abu Dhabi bout vs. Pico
Movsar Evloev is out of his featherweight bout against Aaron Pico due to an undisclosed injury, sources told MMA Junkie's Danny Segura on Tuesday.
Evloev-Pico was scheduled to co-headline UFC Abu Dhabi on July 26. The promotion reportedly plans to reschedule the bout for a later date.
Evloev, ranked No. 1 in the division, is coming off a win over former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling at UFC 310 last December. The 31-year-old Russian is 9-0 in the promotion.
Pico was slated to make his highly anticipated UFC debut. The former Bellator star signed with the promotion in April after parting ways with the PFL. Pico, 28, is riding a three-fight winning streak.
A middleweight fight between former champion Robert Whittaker and Reinier de Ridder will headline UFC Abu Dhabi.
