Lightweight contenders Charles Oliveira and Mateusz Gamrot made weight Friday ahead of the UFC Rio de Janeiro main event Saturday night in Brazil.

Oliveira and Gamrot both weighed in at 156 pounds.

Bantamweight Saimon Oliveira was the lone fighter on the card to miss weight. He came in at 144 pounds, a whopping eight over the divisional limit. His opponent, Luan Lacerda, made weight at 136 pounds. The UFC said the fight will proceed as scheduled.

Oliveira, a former lightweight champion, is looking to get back on track after suffering a knockout loss to Ilia Topuria in a vacant title bout at UFC 317 in June. The Brazilian will compete in his home country for the first time since 2020.

Gamrot agreed to the matchup on short notice, replacing Rafael Fiziev, who withdrew due to injury. The Pole is 4-1 in his past five Octagon appearances and could enter the title conversation with a victory over Oliveira, his toughest test to date.
