One of the biggest fights of the year is good to go for Saturday.
Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano made weight Friday before they square off in the women's featherweight main event of MVP MMA 1 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, live on Netflix.
Rousey and Carano weighed in at 142 and 141.4 pounds, respectively.
Rousey, a UFC Hall of Famer and former women's bantamweight champion, is returning to MMA for the first time since December 2016. The 39-year-old defended the title six times between 2013 and 2015, producing one of the most iconic runs in the sport's history, before losing two straight against Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes and subsequently retiring from the sport.
Carano is coming off an even longer layoff, having not stepped into the cage since losing to Cris Cyborg in the inaugural Strikeforce women's featherweight title bout in August 2009. The 44-year-old holds a 7-1 record as a professional MMA fighter and is seeking her first win in almost 18 years.
Nate Diaz (168.6) and Mike Perry (169.6) made weight ahead of the welterweight co-main event, while Francis Ngannou (257) and Philipe Lins (220.6) were on the mark for their marquee heavyweight tilt.
