Alex Pereira wants to stay busy if he beats Ciryl Gane at UFC Freedom 250.

The former two-division champion said Tuesday he wants to "fight as soon as possible" after his interim heavyweight title bout, which is scheduled to co-headline Sunday's blockbuster event on the White House grounds in Washington.

Pereira added that he isn't sure if Tom Aspinall or Jon Jones will be ready to face him.

"Jon Jones, I don't know if he's training. Doesn't seem to be training. Aspinall maybe is not gonna be ready," Pereira said through an interpreter on "The Ariel Helwani Show." "Those guys should be training right now, because as soon as this fight is finished, I want to fight right after. ... I don't think either of them will be ready."

Pereira, the former middleweight and light heavyweight champion, is moving up to heavyweight in a bid to become the first fighter to win UFC titles in three divisions.

The UFC scheduled the interim title bout between Pereira and Gane because Aspinall, the undisputed champion, has been sidelined with an eye injury since October. UFC CEO Dana White said earlier this week that the promotion originally wanted Pereira to face Aspinall on the White House card.

Though the UFC will likely aim to book Aspinall against the Pereira-Gane winner later in 2026, Pereira suggested that he's prepared to face any of the contenders in the division.

"All the heavyweights, I'm being nice, I'm letting you guys know: be prepared. Start training," Pereira said. "Because as soon as this fight is finished, if I win and I'm healthy, I'm gonna push the UFC to (give me) a fight right away."
