Masvidal: 'I want Cerrone next'

Following a unanimous decision victory over Daron Cruickshank at UFC on Fox 12, Jorge Masvidal didn't waste any time lining up his next opponent.

"I want Donald Cerrone next," Masvidal said during the post fight presser (via Sherdog). "He needs a fight and I need a fight; it makes sense.”

Although a scintillating scrap with "Cowboy" would help raise Masvidal's profile within the ultra-talented lightweight division, a fight with "Gamebred" would likely be a step back for Cerrone, who is looking for a top five opponent as he climbs toward a possible title fight.

Whether Masvidal eventually gets a shot at Cerrone or not, he wants the Jackson-Winklejohn product to know that his motivation for the fight is strictly business.

“I just need money,” Masvidal said (via MMAJunkie). “He needs a fight."
