One day before UFC 177, Renan Barao has been ruled out of his main event rematch with bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw.
The UFC announced the change on Friday afternoon, after reports surfaced that Barao had fallen ill while attempting to cut weight.
Joe Soto will now get a shot at the 135-pound title as he takes Barao's place in the main event Saturday night. Soto, who has won six straight bouts outside of the UFC, was originally scheduled to face Anthony Birchak on the card.
