A Bantamweight clash between undefeated prospect Aljamain Sterling and Manny Gamburyan has been added to UFC on FOX: Machida vs. Rockhold on April 18 in Newark, N.J.
Sterling, a Serra-Longo product, owns a 2-0 record in the UFC (10-0 MMA), and finished Hugo Viana via TKO in his last bout at a Fight Night event in July.
The 33-year-old Gamburyan (14-8 MMA) has been plying his trade professionally since 1999, and counts Mike Thomas Brown, Cole Miller and Michihiro Omigawa among his 14 scalps.
"Manny is a stud, and he had his turn at bat," Sterling told MMAFighting.com's Marc Raimondi. "Now I'm up at the plate, ready to knock the ball out the park."
UFC on FOX: Machida vs. Rockhold will feature a possible Middleweight title eliminator between Lyoto Machida and Luke Rockhold as the main event.
