Mousasi vanquishes Henderson with a 1st round TKO
Gegard Mousasi only needed 1:10 to dismantle a legend.
After a short feeling out period, the impossibly stoic Dutchman clipped Dan Henderson in the temple with a straight right hand, causing "Hendo" to stagger backwards and eventually take the Nestea plunge into the cage.
Mousasi landed a few follow-up punches, while Henderson immediately went for a single leg just as referee Leon Roberts dove in to stop the fight.
Despite tumbling into the fence violently, Henderson appeared to have all his faculties and was disappointed with Roberts' decision to stop the fight.
"He fought a good fight, I got hit with a jab or something and I couldn't see out of my left eye," Henderson told Joe Rogan in the post-fight interview, according to MMAFighting.com's Dave Doyle. "So he started pointing at it, he clipped me a little bit, but I was aware the whole time."
With five losses in his last six fights, fighters, the media and fans alike are practically begging the 44-year-old former two-division PRIDE champion to hang up his four-ounce gloves.
Brian Stann: "Put him in the Hall of Fame right away but I don't want to see (Dan Henderson) fight anymore." #UFCStockholm

I'm just a stats buffoon so what do I have to lose: Dan Henderson should retire. I am the kind of guy who says a dude should retire.
