Anthony Johnson: 'I think I'll be the hardest puncher' Jon Jones has ever faced
Anthony Johnson put UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones on notice last night, showing off his face-melting power with an absolute dusting of Alexander Gustafsson.
"Keep your hands up, because if you don't, lights out," Johnson said on FOX Sports 1, according to MMAFighting.com's Dave Doyle.
Jones has faced a variety of fighters with different styles and game plans during his championship run, but he hasn't stepped into the cage with anyone that possesses Johnson's brand of raw knockout power.
"I think I'll be the hardest puncher he's ever faced," Johnson said. "And he's faced a lot of top quality guys. Hopefully I can just do things nobody has done to him. Alexander gave him the worst beating he's ever had. Hopefully I can give him one 10 times worse."
Unlike the over-the-top fight promotion antics employed by some of the UFC's other division contenders like Conor McGregor, "Rumble" prefers to let his dynamite-packed fists do the talking.
"I never come into a fight with any kind of emotion," Johnson said. "That's what I do and i have fun with it. I have nothing against Jon. This is what we do and we're good at it. We're both alpha males and we want to keep winning."
