Tom Watson on quick finish at UFC 183: 'I have tickets for Britney Spears'
Tom Watson is hoping to wrap up his UFC 183 bout with Rafael Natal in record time.
"I have tickets for Britney Spears, so I really need to get it done quick and get out of there," Watson told MMAjunkie Radio, according to MMAjunkie's Steven Marrocco. "Hopefully (I'm) not required to be at the press conference."
Watson, who has a penchant for going the distance, having four of his five UFC bouts go to the judge's scorecards, notes Natal's tendency to backpedal as a potential reason for the fight going longer than he'd like.
"We'll see,” Watson said. "He kind of backs away in a lot of his fights. He does swing wildly, but we’ll see if he wants to fight or not. I’m open to different strategies, but it’s not something I focus too much on. I’ll get in there and see what happens.”
Having won his last fight via split decision over Chris Camozzi at the UFC Fight Night event in September, Watson sports a 2-3 record in the Octagon, while Natal is 6-4-1 under the Zuffa umbrella.
