Ryan LaFlare: 'The rest of the world is going to know who I am'
Despite compiling an unbeaten record in his first four trips to the Octagon, not too many fans know much about rising welterweight Ryan LaFlare.
With a victory over former middleweight title challenger Demian Maia at UFC Fight Night 62 on Saturday night, LaFlare has a chance to put himself on the MMA map and cement his status as a fighter to watch in the heavily talented 170-pound division.
"Of course I think about it," LaFlare told MMAjunkie.com about his relative anonymity. "I'm human.
"It's different because I know that the people who know me, know me, but now the rest of the world is going to know who I am. It's exciting, but it's not distracting me. I’m still focused on winning the fight.”
In four bouts under the UFC banner, LaFlare has collected unanimous decision victories over Ben Alloway, Santiago Ponzinibbio, Court McGee and John Howard.
